Christian Faith Books

I'm going to attempt to tell you just that. I'm going to be looking at several different Christian books and let you know whats worth reading and what you should start a fire with (ok, not really... we both know books are too expensive to start a fire with, but you get the idea).

There are a few different things that I like to take into consideration when recommending a book.

1. Is it actually based in scripture? Do they quote scripture or apply it to a story? I don't always like the books that are just some guy's opinion on what Christians should do unless they back it up with God's word.

2. Is it entertaining? If it puts you to sleep after the first page, I'm probably not going to include it on this list.

3. Is it unique? I don't want the same rehashed lessons parroted back at me again and again. If you see a book on this list, hopefully it won't be one of a thousand just like it.

This list might take some time to generate considering, I'll actually have to read the books first. Remember...patience is a virtue.

Here is some information about a few of the leading publishers and Christian self publishing companies in the industry. You might also want to take a look at some of the leading Christian book stores like Lifeway Christian Store or Christian Family Book Store who sells discount Christian books. In addition to Christian bookstores, you may also want to look through the various Christian book distributors in the market. They might have a book that you can't find anywhere else.

Personally, I like shopping for Christian faith books on the Christian book stores online more than the traditional brick-and-mortar, but that's just me.
