Christian Movie Reviews - The Dark Knight

In this edition of Christian movie reviews we investigate the biggest movie of the year- The Dark Knight.

The second installment in the reinvention of Batman has been surrounded by more hype than Brangelina's 17th adopted child, but is it worth the attention? That's a really tough question.

Let me think about that one for a second...YES!!! It is so worth every ounce of hype. In fact, I think the Hollywood juggernaut might have actually under-hyped this movie if that's possible. I don't know what else they could have done to promote the movie short of sneaking into your house and writing it on the bathroom mirror, but basically it was worth the hype.

If you liked Batman Begins, you will undoubtedly enjoy this installment as well. In fact, you'll probably like it even better than the original. The story is great, the characters intriguing, and the pace is fast.

The big buzz has of course been about Heath Ledger as The Joker. He did one heck of a job portraying the maniacal clown. If he doesn't win an Oscar for this role, the entire system should be overhauled. He was great and he deserves to be recognized as such.

As far as superhero movies go, this one has to be the best ever. It knocked off Batman Begins and X2 as my previous favorites in this genre.

It's not a Christian movie at all, so don't go expecting to get anything like that. It is just pure entertainment value... plain and simple. There is some violence, but not much. For the most part, it's family friendly if you don't have tiny children. Leave Christian Movie Reviews and go to Home Page
