Christian Weight Loss

When it comes to Christian weight loss, there are definitely a

lot of resources out there that you can turn to. If you are a Christian, you may be wondering if it is natural to want to try to look better and lose weight. In fact, you should strive to lose weight if you are overweight as the Bible speaks negatively about gluttony and taking care of your temple (the body). Here are a few tips to keep in mind if you are interested in losing some weight.

Even though it may not be the magic bullet that you are looking for, I'm going to recommend a healthy diet and steady exercise. Yes this is boring, but it still gets the job done. Anything else is simply a fad and will not work in the long term. When it comes to diet pills and those types of things, they can be extremely dangerous and could potentially cause a heart attack. When trying to lose weight, it is best to stick to the basics.

When you are eating, you should try to eat unprocessed foods as much as possible. The processing that most of our food supply goes through helps food lose its nutritional value. You should also try to stay away from genetically engineered foods such as corn. Most of our food supply has genetically engineered corn in it because of government subsidies that make it cheaper than anything else. Our bodies were not meant to eat this type of food and they do not know how to process it.

According to a recent Yale study, rats that had a steady diet of high fructose corn syrup gain significantly more weight than rats that took in the same amount of calories from sugar. The body accumulates this high fructose corn syrup and immediately turns it into fat. If you start reading labels, you will be shocked to see how many things that you eat have high fructose corn syrup in them. Regular soda is one of the worst sources for this type of substance.

When it comes to exercising, you do not need to and do hours and hours of cardio. Instead, you should focus on short burst exercises that increase your resting metabolic rate. This means that you need to do some serious weightlifting with circuit training. Instead of jogging, you need to do sprints. By doing these short burst exercises, you will be burning calories even when you are resting.

Keep these tips in mind and you should be well on your way to achieving Christian weight loss in no time.
