Christian Movie Reviews - Wall-E

In today's edition of Christian movie reviews we take a look at an animated movie called Wall-E. Wall-E is another release by the Disney/Pixar combo that keeps cranking out hits.

Basically, if you liked all of the other Disney/Pixar movies like Finding Nemo and Toy Story, you'll probably like this one too. It's great for the kids and the adults will enjoy it as well. It's got a nice message to it and shows what our planet might look like in a few hundred years if we don't clean up our act.

The story takes place in the future by a few hundred years and revolves around a little robot named Wall-E. He is the last remaining robot of his kind. They were built to clean up Earth while the last remaining humans were away. The human race boarded a huge spacecraft in order to get away from the barren wasteland that they created. In the mean time, Wall-E and all of his brethren were supposed to clean up the planet and get it ready for everyone to come back.

The only problem with that theory is that all of the robots broke down eventually (except one) and it took much longer than expected. It also gives us an interesting look into our society becoming more dependent on technology. If we keep automating everything, eventually we'll just sit in little hover chairs and let computers do everything for us.

Wall-E befriends another robot that is sent down from the humans to test the Earth and see if it has any plant life. Wall-E then hitches a ride back to the mother ship and gets involved in some random hi jinx.

Overall, it's not my favorite Disney movie, but it is definitely worth seeing. It probably won't rank up there on the list of all-time classics like Finding Nemo, but it is another solid entry from the Disney gang. It is also, of course, clean and safe for your family to watch. So grab the DVD or Blu-Ray and enjoy.
