Is The Secret New Age?

Is The Secret New Age? Isn't it just some marketing concept that's been invented by Rhonda Byrne just to make money? In a word...no.

"The Secret" has been around since the beginning of time. Also known as the law of attraction, it is not a new phenomenon. In fact, God put it into place from the beginning.

One of the oldest references of the law of attraction comes from the book of Job. "Lo, the thing that I feared has come to visit me." The book of Job wasn't exactly written after the movie "The Secret" came out. It's been around for hundreds of years.

So is The Secret New Age?

The apostle Paul understood this great truth that we become what we think about. He said, "Do not be of this world." He warned us to "renew our minds."

Do you think he just gave us this advice because he was delusional from treading water for 3 days? Of course not! The guy new what he was talking about.

If we are of this world, we think of present results. We allow our thoughts to be lead by whatever we see. If we see an empty bank account, our thoughts are consumed by it. However, if we talk Paul's advice, we renew our mind. We think thoughts that are not part of this physical world. We see a full bank account and it comes to pass.

This universal law has been around much longer than any of the negative media that portrays it in a negative light. It will be around much longer than them as well.
